This book was published on the occasion of the exhibition ‘Marin Kasimir – Der permanente Kontext,’ at the Kunstverein Grafschaft Bentheim in Neuenhaus, from September 26 to November 15, 1998. From Here to There is Kasimir’s third leporello, showing a panorama which was taken through an angle of 1350° at various locations and times in the northern district of Brussels. From one leporello to the next, there is an increase in the length, in the angle and in the time taken for the shots, as well as the number of alternating locations and positions. In line with this the conscious use of digital image processing becomes more obvious. Occupying a middle ground between photography and film, Kasimir seeks out the space between comprehensive visibility/ clarity and incomplete visibility/obscurity. From Here to There consists of the work, a preface by Gudrun Thiessen-Schneider and an essay by Michael Tarantino.
